    I just got a nice message from one of our sponsors, Hair and Body Salon and Spa: We have a full Salon & Day Spa (hair action of all kinds, massage therapy, facials, waxing & hopefully soon, nail madness of the gel variety - we are new & getting more salon-spa-ey by the day!)
    If you are interested I would do my best to gather supplies specific to the event to offer folks (hair-do's focused on Vict era, punked-the-f-out colors, dreddy additions, feathers ETC). If there's anything you think we should specifically have to offer, let us know!

    Hair and body is located in the same building as our night time events, which is a short walk from the hotel(by short I mean two blocks). Call (716) 810-4247 and mention Convergence 18 to book an appointment!(I am so going to need a massage after chairing this event I swear!)

     Following up to my previous post, having decided to stop being the Voice of the C*B*L, until someone volunteers to take on the role the calendar for C19 doesn't move forward.

    It's not a lot of work, but if no-one wants to do it then...

    The good news is we have a venue! We're taking over the Game Room at Wasteland Studios! The room used to be the vault where furs were stored back when the building was build. The walls and floors are concrete, and the vault doors are still in place(though not fuctioning as locking doors, just doors). The stage even comes with a catwalk for the fashion show.

    Febuary Updates:
    Futurestate and Sludge Faktory confirmed for the fashion show. Fashion Show Coordinator Amy O'Connor is still looking for one more designer, designers to provide accessories, and models in the xs-m size range.

    Badges go up in price on April 1 to $60, current price is $50.

    December Convergence Updates:
    Added Third Realm to the band list. Bands are now Captain Matt's Armada featuring Axel (wTwatsadasw), Garda, Third Realm, and a headliner that is tba.
    Vendor space is availible. Email c18buffalo@gmail.com for details.
    We're still looking for people to come up with and host panels. Email c18buffalo@gmail.com.
    Badge prices are set to increase on Jan 1 from $40 to $50. Get yours before the price increase.
    We got our first overseas badge purchase! And the headliner hasn't even been announced yet! How epic is that!

    Badge info! http://www.altgothic.com/c18buf/badges.html NOTE: Badge prices will be increasing on Jan 1 and April 1, but transfers will be open until the end of 4 day badge sales on June 1. Also, they are free(unless you want to buy one/some/all committee members a drink).

    Hotel info! http://www.altgothic.com/c18buf/hotel.html I had a clause written into the contract that if we sell out the block or get damn close, I can ask the hotel to add more rooms and they will as long as they have rooms availible. Yay! Also, if we book enough rooms from the initial block we all get free wifi! Rooms are $129 a night for 1-4 people in either king or double format.

    C18 chair person here, giving you a bit of an update. Firstly, the official C18 website is up at http://www.altgothic.com/c18buf/. Secondly the official C18 facebook page is up at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Convergence-18-Buffalo-Seriously/128773437224556?sk=wall. Updates will likely hit the facebook page first cause I have to write the code off the top of my head.

    http://www.altgothic.com/c18buf/entertainment.html has the tentative listing of events included with the badges at the moment.

    http://www.altgothic.com/c18buf/aroundthecity.html has the beginnings of the unofficial events that aren't included in the badge. A lot of the events are listed as email us o we can get numbers cause we need a certain number of people to get the group rate.

    Convergence 18 Vote Results
     The people have spoken. 78% wanted to party in Buffalo. 22% favoured
    getting down in Boo's Pants.

    For those of you that voted for Boo's Pants, convince him to come and
    your wish can come true. Last I heard he's living in Pittsburgh which
    is only 3.5 hours away.
